Privacy Policy
Your projects are stored on your phone. We have no servers, no accounts and no analytics, so we never receive your data. If you turn on Google Drive backup and sync, a copy goes straight from your phone to a hidden folder in your own Google Drive.
1. Who we are
PlanFlow is made by The Infosharp (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what the PlanFlow Android app does with information. Questions: theinfosharp@gmail.com.
2. Information the app stores on your phone
Everything you put into PlanFlow is saved only in the app's private storage on your device:
- projects, phases, tasks and sub-tasks, with their dates, links, progress, notes, checklists and history;
- details you type about a project, such as its client and location;
- progress updates, hold-up reasons and the photos and files you attach;
- team members you add: a name, role and, if you choose, a phone number. These are plain entries you type; the app does not read your contacts;
- categories, holidays and your settings, such as your name, theme and reminder times.
We do not collect, receive or have access to any of this. It leaves your phone only if you back it up or share it (sections 4 and 5).
3. What we do not do
- No account or sign-up with us.
- No analytics, crash reporting, advertising or tracking libraries.
- No access to your location, contacts, microphone, call log or SMS.
- We never sell or rent data, because we never receive it.
4. Google Drive backup and sync (optional)
If you tap “Connect Google Drive” in Me → Backup, sync & restore, the app uses Google Sign-In and asks for permission to use a hidden app folder in your Google Drive (the drive.appdata scope). Then:
- The app learns your Google account's email address, only to show which account is connected. It stays on your phone.
- A backup file with your PlanFlow data, photos and files is uploaded directly from your phone to that private app folder in your own Drive. With automatic sync on, this happens a few minutes after you make changes, when you leave the app, and every 15 minutes while it is open.
- If you connect the same Google account on another phone, each phone downloads that file and merges in the other's changes. This is how your phones stay in step.
- The app can see only the files it created in that folder. It cannot see or change your other Drive files.
- We do not receive your backup or your Google sign-in. Google stores the file under Google's Privacy Policy.
You can turn off automatic sync or disconnect at any time on the same screen. PlanFlow's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
5. When you share
Data leaves the app only when you choose: sharing a task update or a PDF report, sending a message to a team member through WhatsApp or SMS, exporting CSV or JSON, or saving a backup file through Android's share sheet. Where it goes is up to you, and the receiving app's own policy applies.
6. Permissions and why they are needed
| Permission | Used for |
|---|---|
| Notifications | Task reminders, the daily digest and alerts about overdue work. |
| Alarms & reminders | Making reminders arrive at the exact time you set. |
| Run at startup | Setting your reminders again after the phone restarts. |
| Ignore battery optimisation | Some phones block reminders of battery-restricted apps. Only asked when you tap Allow. |
| Camera | Taking site photos for a progress update. Only when you tap the camera. |
| Photos (picker) | Attaching existing photos that you choose. |
| Fingerprint / biometrics | The optional app lock. Android checks your fingerprint; the app never receives it. |
| Internet | Only for Google Drive backup and sync, and for opening links. |
| Vibration | Light feedback when you complete or move a task. |
7. How long data is kept
Data stays on your phone until you delete it. Deleted projects, phases and tasks go to Trash and are removed for good after 30 days. Your Google Drive backup stays until you delete it.
8. Deleting your data
- Delete items in the app, or empty Trash.
- Uninstalling PlanFlow removes all its data from the phone.
- To remove the Drive backup: Google Drive → Settings → Manage apps → PlanFlow → Options → Delete hidden app data.
Full steps are on the Delete your data page.
9. Security
Your data stays in storage that only PlanFlow can read on your phone, and you can add the app lock. Drive backups travel to Google over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Keep your phone and Google account secure, because anyone with access to them can see your projects.
10. Purchases
If PlanFlow offers paid subscriptions, they are bought through Google Play. Google handles the payment; we never receive your card or bank details. We only learn from Google Play whether a subscription is active on your account, so the app can unlock its features.
11. Children
PlanFlow is a work and productivity app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children; in fact we collect no personal information from anyone.
12. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top. Major changes will also be mentioned in the app's release notes. For example, if shared team projects are added in future, this policy will be updated before that feature is released.
